We didn’t believe it would happen anymore but finally Summer has come! At least for a few days… So, what to do in Paris to keep the water under your feet rather than above your head? Hobbizer found the best addresses and activities in Paris so that you can either float on the water or hang out by the water – a lunch on a barge, a barbecue by the river, a beer while you dangle your feet in the water…here is our ideal programme!
12pm – Savor a cheese platter on a barge with a view on Notre-Dame.
What is it? The terrace of a half-hidden, half-secret barge where you will quickly find yourself a place in the sun and practically won’t meet any Parisian around.
Where is it? Along the water, on the banks with a wonderful view on the Seine and Notre Dame de Paris Cathedral.
We love: The calm, the view and the sun!
We love less: the lousy service.
Information: La terrasse du Batostar, voie Georges Pompidou, 75004 Paris. At the foot of the Pont Marie. Metro 7, Pont Marie Station.
2pm – Take a nap in your garden while hearing the water lapping
What is it? A small piece a garden that you can privatize for 1h30 to take a nap, organize a picnic or read a good book while sunbathing. Chairs and tables are available.
Where is it? On the banks of the Seine, entirely pedestrian, in front of the Tuileries garden. And if you feel like a drink, the Rosa Bonheur barge and the Deckchairs of the Flow are just next door!
We love: the car-free zone, the Invalides neighborhood… it is simply magnificient !
We love less: the crowd on weekends and evenings when the weather is nice.
Informatins : Z des berges de Seine. Port de Solferino, 75007 Paris. Near the Pont de la Concorde. Maximum 8 people. Available spots for booking (90 minutes): Wednesday from 12pm to7:30pm; Friday from 12pm to 9:30pm ; Saturday from 10am to 12pm; Sunday and public holidays from 10am to 7:30pm. Free booking.
3pm- Have a glass of wine while digging your feet in the water
What is it? A bar & restaurant on a terrace barge with a heated outdoor pool for the customers. Sounds like a dream, right? Attention, bathing is authorized during the afternoon only.
Where is it? On the banks of the Seine, in the 13rd district, away from the traffic and of course, close to the water!
We love: The swimming pool, the service and the proximity of Wanderlust and Nuba, so we can continue the day dancing under the sun!
Information: Le Playtime. 34 Quai d’Austerlitz, 75013 Paris.
6pm – Have an aperitif on your own boat
What is it? An electric boat (no licence required) that you can book for one or two hours, just for you and your friends or family, to navigate on the Parisian waters and enjoy the sun! And if you feel like tying your boat at the quay to enjoy the greenery you can even order an “aperitif basket” or rent pétanque balls or badminton rackets.
Where is it? On the the canal de l’Ourcq. Combine this activity with a family outing at the Cité des Sciences or a drink with friends at the Rotonde terrace!
What love: Navigating on your own boat, enjoying a sunny aperitif on the water, you will almost feel like you are on the sea.

9pm– Have a dancing barbecue by the water
What is it? A terrace by the water, a bar, the smell of grilled meat from the barbecue, a dance floor under the sun. Yes, you are in Paris.
Where is it? Along the Seine, in the heart of Paris, exactly under the sun.
We love: No need to wait for holidays or a country weekend at our parents to be able to say: “ “Tomorrow we’ll have a barbecue in the sun! »
We love less: the cars driving near the terrace when the banks are open to traffic…they bring us back to reality.
Information : Les Nautes. 1 Quai des Celestins, 75004 Paris.
12am- A last drink facing the marina
What is it? ? A pretty yacht harbor similar to the sea harbors, not accessible to cars and facing a large a beautiful terrace.
Where is it? The Port de la Bastille. Little known, little frequented, away from the Parisian agitation.
We love: Not being jealous when our friends go to Deauville.
Informations : Le Grand Bleu. 67 boulevard de la Bastille, 75012 Paris.
